  • Responsible to develop and lead big global packaging projects including Materials and Design Structure improvements across the world. Leading cross-functional teams, translating commercial needs into technology requirements, driving internal and supplier development and implementation  
  • Responsible for Technology Strategy on glass which involves design, material, and manufacturing of glass containers and strong collaboration with vertical operations and key technology partners; 
  • Lead the Center of Excellence for glass containers, facilitating information sharing and collaboration across the network and prioritizing new technologies for development, with special focus on materials science 
  • Be the global and industry recognized expert on glass materials and technologies, building strategies and leading projects to create value  
  • Benchmark and influence glass strategy based on knowledge of shifting industry dynamics to identify business opportunities 
  • Secure Intellectual Property throughout all stages of project development   
  • Ensure adequate, timely and effective communication to senior management on opportunities and challenges facing the pipeline;  
  • Lead, connect and collaborate with broad cross-sections of internal functional and business departments, such as (but not limited to) local/regional/global Innovation, Marketing, Sales, Vertical Operations, Technical, Operations & Logistic, Procurement, Legal, Zone Technology Development, 
  • Ensuring packaging technology pipeline delivers target reduction of packaging tonnage, carbon footprint reduction, and recycling
  • University technical degree or equivalent (Civil Engineering , (material) Science, Chemie,…)  
  • 4+ years of strong FMGC experience in packaging development (preferable in “glass bottles”) 
  • A technical leader with proven experience and track record of delivering results  
  • Profound technical expertise in the science & technologies associated with Packaging Development 
  • Strong ability to lead and manage projects with high level of complexity (technical / geographical / business impact / No of stakeholders ) 
  • DOE (Design of Experiment) or Six Sigma (Black Belt, Green Belt, etc.) 
  • Experience and passion for front end innovation 
  • Strong communication, English speaking and writing skills 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • High impact and influence
